DanceSync helps dance academies manage classes, students, attendance, fee records, and communication with parents and guardians.

Information we process

Academies provide the information needed to operate their account, such as the academy contact details, staff details, student information, guardian contact details, class schedules, attendance, messages, and fee records.

How we use it

We use this information to provide the DanceSync service, authenticate users, send account and service communications, support academies, maintain security, and meet legal obligations.

Who can see it

Information is available to the academy and its authorised staff, and to parents or guardians only where it relates to their own children. We do not sell personal information.

Connected bank accounts

In the United States, an academy may choose to connect its own business bank account through Stripe Financial Connections, so that fee payments parents make outside DanceSync (for example by Zelle or bank transfer) can be matched to the right student's fee record. Only the academy owner or an administrator can connect an account; parents never connect a bank account. Access is read-only: we receive transaction details (amount, date and description, which can include the payer's name) and never bank login credentials, balances or the ability to move money.

We use this data only to record and review the academy's own fee payments. It is stored in the United States, is not sold or shared with other third parties, and is not sent to AI services or used to train AI models. Transactions that do not match a fee payment are kept only for the academy to review, for no longer than 90 days. The academy can disconnect at any time; we then stop retrieving data and delete the stored transaction details within 30 days, keeping only the fee payment records the academy has confirmed.
